What are the top three things you enjoy most about your role?
The first thing I love about my role is the people. Paycom employees and Paycom clients are some of the best people I’ve ever met. I love coming to work with like-minded people who want to succeed and achieve the impossible. I also love being able to meet different people in different places and industries. We have amazing clients, and it has been a blast building relationships with them over the years. Second, I love that I get to be a strategic business partner for our clients. Having different members of the C-suite call and want you to consult on how certain changes would affect their business has been one of the most rewarding feelings I have had as a client relations representative (CRR). The third thing I love most about my role is the financial freedom it gives me. When you sell for Paycom, you see the return of all the hard work you put in. Paycom has changed my family’s life financially.
What qualities do you think make you most the effective for our clients?
You have to care about your clients while challenging them in a way that inspires change. When clients truly feel like you care about their business, you’re able to provide best practices that they actually put into place. I think the most effective quality you can have is to respectfully challenge old processes while continuously providing value and caring about client’s business. People listen to people they like, know and trust. Helping clients understand the big picture outside of their day-to-day is how you inspire change.
What has been your proudest moment so far at Paycom?
My proudest moment at Paycom so far was being promoted to the management team. Once I felt like I had a strong skill set for this role, I wanted to be able to help CRRs the way my managers helped me. It was such an honor to be trusted to lead a team. I’m thankful for the opportunity, and it’s not something I take lightly
What is your next career goal and how is Paycom helping you get there?
My next career goal is to be a regional director for the client relations department. I love the CRR role, and I am so passionate about this department’s vision and what we do for our clients and Paycom.
Paycom is the kind of place where you …
… grow Personally, professionally and financially. Paycom has a winning mindset. Everyone who touches Paycom – clients, employees, and prospects – is captivated by this mindset. Through the ups and downs, I’ve always felt like I had the entire company in my corner cheering me on. Paycom cares about their employees and works so hard for its people that it makes you want to work hard in return
What advice would you give to individuals considering a sales career with Paycom?
Sales is a challenging (but rewarding) career. Paycom’s culture and training program help you thrive in your sales career. Follow the process, work hard while having a positive attitude and trust your mentor. If you are coach-able and consistently try to be better than you were the day before, Paycom’s culture is the place for you to excel in sales.
Where has been your favorite place to travel and why?
While visiting England, my friends and I decided to change plans and head to Wales for a day. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Conwy Castle, the history, the fresh seafood and the overall landscape with the mountains backing up to the ocean – the whole experience was amazing.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?
I love anything outside. My husband and I love hiking, kayaking and spending time on the lake. I played college soccer, so sometimes I like to relive those glory days with the adult league in my community. We also love Texas country music, so you can find us at the local concerts two-stepping and singing along.
If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Any kind of pasta. Spaghetti and meatballs, chicken Alfredo, mac and cheese, shrimp scampi – I love it all!
