Paycom is proud to celebrate four employees named to ionOklahoma magazine’s NextGen Under 30 class for 2017: Kolbi Claborn, senior collegiate recruiter; Jericah Cummings, security and enterprise risk attorney and team lead; Lauren Sickels, e-learning content developer; and Jaden Souther, corporate recruiter for transition service representatives.
Claborn, Cummings, Sickels and Souther were honored on Oct. 20 at the 2017 NextGen Under 30 awards dinner and ceremony at the Embassy Suites in Norman. They also will be profiled in an upcoming issue of ionOklahoma.
The 2017 NextGen Under 30 program included 187 statewide winners in 16 career categories. It recognizes and encourages the next generation of innovative, creative and inspiring individuals who push the boundaries in various categories of endeavor. In addition, award winners were selected based upon their contributions to their communities.
Kolbi Claborn, Senior Collegiate Recruiter
As a collegiate recruiter for Paycom, Claborn executes a statewide recruiting program, maintains a recruiting presence at a handful of Oklahoma institutions and is a steward of Paycom’s corporate internship program. In addition to her Paycom role, she is president of the Oklahoma Association of Colleges and Employers, and serves on the planning committee of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce’s InternOKC program. Claborn is a 2015 public affairs administration graduate of the University of Oklahoma.
Jericah Cummings, Security and Enterprise Risk Attorney and Team Lead
As an attorney for Paycom, Cummings advises company executives on corporate governance compliance and best practices, and manages Paycom’s enterprise risk management program. As a past board chair for Camp Fire Heart of Oklahoma, she lead the nonprofit through an inaugural fundraising event that raised more than $7,000 for summer camp scholarships. A first-generation college graduate, Cummings earned a 2012 bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis While earning her 2015 Juris Doctor from the University of Denver – Sturm College of Law, she served as a student representative on the Woman’s Bar Association board.
Lauren Sickels, E-Learning Content Developer
As an instructional designer for Paycom’s learning and development department, Sickels creates interactive e-learning courses for clients nationwide. Outside of the office, she is the membership chair of Oklahoma Women in Technology, a NextGen Ambassador and a member of ZOOtroop, the Oklahoma City Zoo’s young-adult leadership program. A 2015 career and technology education cum laude graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, Sickels was a two-time Student of the Year and a member of the Leaders of Tomorrow four-year scholarship program, which promotes leadership through community.
Jaden Souther, Corporate TSR Recruiter
As a national recruiter for Paycom, Souther specializes in acquiring top talent for the corporation’s implementation department. In addition to her Paycom role, Souther and her dog, Sophie, who is certified through Therapy Dogs International, make weekly visits to the young patients of The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center, and participate in the Metropolitan Library System’s Children Reading to Dogs program, where kids read stories to their canine audience. Souther is a member of the Young Professionals in Energy and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Oklahoma City Alumnae Association. During her senior year at Oklahoma State University, she received the CORD award for completing more than 400 hours of volunteer work in her community – ultimately graduating in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
