Paycom celebrated National Payroll Week with a charity drive that provided food for The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma City Economic Development Trust on Wednesday gave the green light for the city to begin negotiations with Boeing Co. and Paycom Software Inc. on a combined $7.2 million in economic development incentives to create 1,323 new jobs.

Paycom Software Inc. plans to hire 423 new workers, build a $14 million new building and spend $2 million on new equipment at its rapidly growing headquarters on Memorial Road.

Paycom reported revenue of $44 million in the fourth quarter, up more than 45 percent over the previous year. This year, it also announced the opening of five new sales offices in Brooklyn, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Nashville and Pittsburgh.

Oklahoma City-based Paycom Software Inc. celebrated its first year as a publicly traded company on Wednesday by ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Paycom began trading as an NYSE-listed company on April 15, 2014.

Paycom Software Inc. earned first-place recognition among midsized companies in the 2015 Leadership 500 Excellence Awards presented by HR.com.

Big initial public offerings (IPOs) like Alibaba have stolen the spotlight recently. However, Bespoke Investment Group’s co-founder Paul Hickey told CNBC’s “Fast Money” that the names people haven’t heard of offer the best opportunity.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Chad Richison is breathing a little easier now that his company’s first publicly reported quarter has passed with strong response from the market. The employee-management software firmPaycom Software Inc. on Tuesday reported a net loss for the second quarter of $593,000, compared with net income of $360,000 for the same period a year earlier. But the company also had revenue of $33.3 million for the quarter, compared with analyst consensus estimates of $31.5 million, and the company’s quarterly revenue was up about 39 percent on a year-over-year basis.
