OKLAHOMA CITY – Today, Paycom presented The Salvation Army Central Oklahoma with a check for $80,000, which is the largest amount the Oklahoma City-based nonprofit has received as part of its annual Red Kettle campaign.
Paycom’s donation surpassed its 2017 Red Kettle campaign gift by $5,000. To raise the funds, Paycom employees donated through the Paycom mobile app, in person at the company’s December luncheon or by shopping for Paycom swag at an on-site “garage sale.” Each employee-donated dollar was matched with a corporate gift of $1.50.
The annual year-end contribution of Paycom and its employees helps the local chapter of The Salvation Army assist Oklahomans in need, both during the holiday season and beyond.
“Our employees continue to step up in a big way to provide much-needed resources for those under the care of The Salvation Army,” said Jennifer Kraszewski, Paycom’s director of HR. “We are fortunate to be a part of this organization’s story during the holidays as it serves the community.”
“Paycom’s generosity will fund The Salvation Army’s Christmas needs and help provide shelter and food, and it will be such a blessing to those who enter our doors each day,” said Maj. Stephen Ellis of The Salvation Army Central Oklahoma. “This is truly the time of year for generosity, and Paycom’s gift is a big part of our Christmas fundraising. We are so grateful. Thank you so much.”
Paycom and its employees have a proud history of supporting The Salvation Army Central Oklahoma, having donated more than $430,000 over the past eight years. Last month, Paycom hosted its sixth annual HoliDazzle community coat drive as part of KFOR’s Brad Edwards Warmth 4 Winter campaign, which also benefits the area nonprofit.
