OKLAHOMA CITY – (Nov. 3) – Paycom Software, Inc. (NYSE:PAYC), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, raised a record-breaking $133,963 for Courage Foundation through the Burpees for Vets campaign, a national fitness challenge that raises funds and awareness for veterans transitioning out of military service. This donation is the largest in history for Courage Foundation and Burpees for Vets.
For each burpee completed by a Paycom employee from Oct. 30 to Nov. 3, Paycom donated $1 to Courage Foundation. Paycom employees across the nation completed a total of 133,963 burpees during this year’s challenge.
“Our employees have wildly surpassed all our expectations, and we’re so proud to see how passionately they showed up this week to raise money for veterans,” said Tiffany McGowen, Paycom’s vice president of talent acquisition. “Paycom is proud to support our military veterans and their families, and this campaign is just one way to honor them.”
This year’s contribution will continue supporting Courage Foundation’s holistic Veteran Integration Program, a 12-month intensive and immersive initiative that provides specialized training and support to mitigate post-traumatic stress, promote post-traumatic growth and establish a pathway toward civic leadership for each veteran participant.
“Thanks to Paycom and its employees, we have been able to reinstate programs that were lost during COVID,” said Sid Ellington, executive director of Courage Foundation. “Last year, they contributed the largest donation we’ve seen to date, and it feels amazing to have their unwavering belief and support.”
In addition to the burpees challenge, Paycom employees packed 750 deployment packages, wrote over one thousand gratitude letters and donated $30,000 to United Service Organizations, a nonprofit that provides resources for service members and their families.
