Paycom nationally acclaimed for commitment to early careers

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 15, 2024) — Paycom Software, Inc. (NYSE: PAYC), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, recently earned national recognition from both Newsweek and Handshake for its dedication to supporting young professionals and job starters.

Paycom aims to attract and retain top talent by offering internships, hosting summer engagement programs and partnering with universities that serve diverse populations. The internship program is designed to convert interns into full-time employees by giving them hands-on experience and training. Interns work on unique projects each year and present their ideas to Paycom leadership, helping influence Paycom operations and services.

“Our university programs and internships are invaluable for bringing fresh talent and ideas to Paycom,” said Brad Smith, chief information officer at Paycom. “When we pair early talent with seasoned veterans, it creates a sense of mentorship that helps young professionals accelerate their learning at an exceptional rate.”

Paycom also hosts a developmental Summer Engagement Program that provides free professional and technical training to students interested in the sales and technology fields. The program generates foundational sales skills and professional development as well as insight into working in the HCM industry.

“Employees just starting their professional careers bring a wealth of fresh perspective and innovation,” said Jennifer Kraszewski, senior executive vice president of human resources. “It’s our job to create programs and roles that meet their unique needs and challenges. Young professionals thrive at Paycom because it’s a place where they can crush their goals, make a meaningful difference, launch new ideas and accelerate their careers.”

Handshake’s Early Talent Awards were given to more than 250 winners across the nation based on companies’ engagement with students throughout the recruiting process. America’s Greatest Workplaces for Job Starters 2024 was compiled by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group based on a survey of 75,000 young professionals and over 540,000 company reviews. Both awards emphasize organizations’ commitment to obtaining and supporting young talent in the workforce.
