Paycom obtained its second-consecutive okcBIZ Magazine Best Places to Work accolade, after the Human Capital Management Company checked in at No. 12 in the large company category. The announcement came inside the Skirvin Hilton Hotel at an annual awards dinner on Wednesday, June 26.
As one of the fastest-growing companies in the state and country, Paycom employs over 700 employees nationwide and continues to expand its operations with the addition of its $11.8 million fully-equipped building adjacent to its current headquarters in Oklahoma City. With the addition, Paycom expects to add approximately 700 additional employees in the state.
“The competitive process identifies those companies that are not only helping the state build a robust economy, but ones that are building the kinds of quality workplaces others should strive toward,” said okcBIZ publisher Jeffri-Lynn Dyer. “Excellence in the workplace builds better companies, makes for happier employees and encourages growth.”
The Best Places to Work in Oklahoma program honors the state’s best employers based on a two-part survey: one for employers and another for their employees. The company’s assessment is determined based on a benefits and policies questionnaire given to employers, while employees were given a 72-question survey that identified company leadership, corporate communication, role satisfaction, work environment and the relationship between employees and management. This information was obtained through surveys by the Best Companies Group.
“As Paycom has grown from just three employees in 1998 to over 700 today, we have focused on offering our employees great training to help them grow personally and professionally, an opportunity to advance their careers and a daily culture that is fun, supportive and stimulating,” Executive Vice President of Operations Stacey Pezold said. “Being recognized as one of Oklahoma’s Best Places to work is proof that our focus is in the right place. We are honored to be chosen again this year.”
From its corporate headquarters, Paycom serves customers in all 50 states from 24 offices across the country. Just over a year ago, Paycom moved into its current state-of-the-art, 90,000-square-foot building to account for its increasing number of employees. The building includes an onsite gym with daily fitness classes, a multi-functional cafeteria where employees are provided four dollar catered lunches and multiple cappuccino machines for employees use. In addition to organized sports leagues and employee activities throughout the year, Paycom recognizes the achievements and hard work of its employees with an annual formal event in Dallas, Texas.
Paycom is a 10 year Honoree on Oklahoma City’s Metro 50 list, a seven-year member of the Inc. 500/5000 as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the country and was bestowed the inaugural Inc. Hire Power Award for job creation. Paycom’s continued success is thanks to its unique, proprietary human capital management software that enables employers to lower labor costs and drive employee engagement, while its payroll function operates as the customers’ complete system of record.
