Oahu, Hawaii (April 21, 2023) – Members of the sales team at Paycom Software Inc. (NYSE:PAYC), a leading provider of HR software, donated $65,000 to support the Hawai’i STEM Learning Partnership, an initiative of the Hawai’i Community Foundation. The donation was part of Paycom’s President’s Club Gives initiative and will help boost learning in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for Hawaiian island students.
“We are honored to support the Hawai’i Community Foundation and its STEM Learning Partnership,” said Holly Faurot, Paycom’s chief sales officer. “A STEM education produces knowledge for life. I am so proud of our sales team’s generous support of this valuable mission.”
The funding will help increase the number of effective STEM teachers on Hawaii island and expand STEM programs, promoting cultural competency or place-based learning. The Hawai’i STEM Learning Partnership also seeks to develop student interest in pursuing postsecondary education and careers in STEM fields.
“We are so grateful to Paycom and the sales team for their welcomed donation,” said Michelle Kauhane, senior vice president and chief impact officer of Hawai’i Community Foundation. “The demand for STEM jobs in Hawaii only continues to grow, and we do not have enough STEM graduates to meet it. These initiatives will help foster a STEM education for all students and continue Hawaii’s long tradition of innovation and exploration.”
