Paycom supports Bedlam for Babies drive to benefit Infant Crisis Services.
Paycom is dedicated to giving back to its local community and recently participated in Infant Crisis Services’ Bedlam for Babies drive where Paycom and its employees combined to donate $1,000 in addition to basic necessities like diapers, formula, wipes, toys and clothes.
“Bedlam is always exciting and this event fostered a fun environment for us to use the in-state rivalry to give back to the community,” Paycom Founder and CEO Chad Richison said. “We had a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving and I’m proud that Paycom and our employees were able to help Infant Crisis Services and those in the community.”
The face-off pitted fans from the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University to bring basic necessities for babies and toddlers at risk of going hungry. Fans from opposing teams collected baby items that will help families in need across the state.
“The OSU and OU rivalry has brought our state a lot of joy over the years – just like babies do,” said Miki Farris, executive director of Infant Crisis Services. “No matter what team you root for, the Bedlam for Babies drive helps hundreds of babies and that makes everyone a winner.”
In total, Paycom and its employees donated roughly 400 pounds worth of items in addition to the company’s $1,000 gift.
“If it weren’t for the support of Paycom, many babies and toddlers would go without basic necessities this holiday season,” said Becky Taylor, Development Coordinator of Infant Crisis Services. “Through the Bedlam for Babies campaign, Infant Crisis Services has collected over 15,000 pounds of baby items from the past three years.”
This year alone, Paycom has been active in community outreach by providing support for the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank, Salvation Army, Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, Anna’s House, Backpacks for Kids drive and the Children’s Advocacy Center for Dallas.
