Paycom’s CEO and Founder, Chad Richison, was named among the seven new members inducted into the University of Central Oklahoma’s Athletic Hall of Fame August 11, 2014.
In a statement, UCO representatives said, “Richison has become one of UCO’s top athletic donors and is a valued member of the UCO Athletics Strategic Advisory Committee.”
Richison, who founded Paycom in 1998, was named Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in the Southwest Area in 2010 and earned The Oklahoman’s 2013 Large Business Leadership Award, adding to his list of accolades.
Richison, selected for Lifetime Achievement, accompanies five athletes, 1940s basketball star Bill Ballew, football All American Ed Desherow, soccer standout Kim (Brown) Kilgore and wrestling national champions Cole Province and Shawn Silvis along with Jeff McKibbin chosen in the Coach/Administrator category.
The seven new members will be formally inducted during the UCO Hall of Fame Banquet October 31 in the University Center Ballroom.
Hall of Fame inductees are recognized based on their outstanding athletic contributions to UCO during or after their playing career.
Richison was a member of the UCO wrestling team in the early 1990s and has been a loyal supporter of the Bronchos.
