Stacey Pezold – 50 Most Powerful OKC Women of 2016
OKLAHOMA CITY, Nov. 18, 2016 — Paycom, a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based solutions for human capital management, is proud to announce that Stacey Pezold, Paycom’s chief operating officer, has been named one of Oklahoma City’s 50 most powerful women by the OKC FRIDAY newspaper.
In her 12-year career at Paycom, Stacey Pezold has risen through the ranks after serving tenures in nearly every facet of the business. Pezold, now the chief operations officer of the largest technology company headquartered in Oklahoma, has been instrumental in growing Paycom into a leading nationwide provider of comprehensive, cloud-based HR technology software.
When asked about the secret to her success, Pezold said, “When I began my Paycom career, I focused on creating results and tried to exhibit leadership skills, no matter the task.” As a result, she achieved positions as a sales manager and regional manager, before leading Paycom’s award-winning sales training program.
“I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work for a company where hard work and results are recognized, no matter your gender,” said Pezold. “As a woman, it is great to be able to raise a family, be a community leader and work for a company that acknowledges my life goals.”
What many may not know about the Paycom COO is that she began her career as a 25-year-old single mother. “I am very passionate about single moms. I’m now married and a mother of two, but I began my professional career as a single mother with limited resources.”
Today, that experience fuels Pezold’s passion to mentor single mothers through REAL Ministries, a nonprofit that creates a support system for single moms. She is also a volunteer and committee member for Infant Crisis Services, an Oklahoma City nonprofit that provides formula, food and diapers to babies and toddlers in times of crisis.
Her passion for giving extends to her employees as well. This past year, Pezold developed the LEAD program, in which she inspired more than 300 Paycom employees to lead, regardless of their position.
“Stacey has been instrumental in building Paycom’s strong client experience and vibrant employee culture,” said Kathy Oden-Hall, Paycom’s chief marketing officer. “I’m proud that one of our own shining stars has been named one of Oklahoma’s 50 Most Powerful Women.”
