We interviewed one of our executive sales representatives, Gabriella, to learn more about her Paycom journey.
Describe what you do.
I am an executive outside sales representative at Paycom working directly to bring on new business. Each week, I meet with a number of companies to ensure their executive teams understand the value Paycom can bring to their organization by focusing on employee engagement, operational efficiencies and increases to their bottom line.
What is your favorite thing about your team?
My favorite thing about my team is the competitive yet supportive culture we have. We all want each other to individually succeed, but we also know the importance of creating a culture that allows for healthy competition so we can all succeed together as a whole!
What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?
There are so many tips I can provide to achieve success at Paycom. However, when you boil it down, there are two key ingredients to a continued successful rep at Paycom, and those are constant grit/drive and the ability to execute. I always say that Paycom provides you with the absolute greatest training and tools to succeed; all you have to do is put in the work and EXECUTE! Having grit and drive means not allowing for a negative mindset or roadblock to overcome your ability to achieve what it is you set your mind to.
What’s the one word you would choose to describe Paycom, and why?
Abundance. Paycom provides you with a life of abundance, not only professionally but personally and financially. It’s truly a life-changing career. Our CSO Jeff York always states that most people don’t truly self-actualize until a lot later in life, but at Paycom, you are provided the opportunity to self-actualize decades sooner and live your dream life of abundance.
What is your greatest accomplishment at Paycom?
As I approach my sixth year at Paycom, I have had a lot of great personal and professional achievements that I am extremely proud of. One that has been consistent over my career is being recognized as a top-level performer and top-20 sales representative within our salesforce.
What makes you proud to work at Paycom?
I am proud to work at Paycom because I know I am selling a great product! I believe in the software and have seen it time and time again completely transform organizations and companies for the better! Knowing that we are doing something different and innovative keeps things exciting and allows for constant evolvement, meaning it only keeps getting better.
What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?
Some of my favorite hobbies outside of work are interior design, art and fashion! I actually have a blog where I share my décor, styling and DIY tips for all things in the home!
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
This is the most difficult question, one I’ve thought about before actually. I’d have to say pasta; carbs are the way to my heart! Plus you can cook pasta in various ways!
