We interviewed one of our senior Paycom service specialists, Kelsey, to learn more about her Paycom journey.
Describe what you do.
I work in PSD as a long-term dedicated specialist.
What is your favorite thing about your team?
I love how well we work together. There is never a question about who is going to watch someone’s emails while they’re out. We’re all happy to help in any way we can!
What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?
Breathe. There are a lot of things to learn at Paycom, but I absolutely guarantee your team and anyone will help you. We were all in your shoes at one point and can totally relate to newbie jitters. Never be afraid to ask for help!
What’s the one word you would choose to describe Paycom, and why?
Progressive. There are so many employers who are stuck in the past and do not offer paid maternity leave and don’t actively work toward making their establishment a better place for their employees, but Paycom does all of that. It constantly amazes me at what our teams come up with to make this such a great place to work. I couldn’t ask for a better place to be, and some days, my kids even say they’re going to work here when they get bigger!
What makes you proud to work at Paycom?
My statement about this being such a progressive place to work. I feel like we’re 10 steps ahead of so many other companies!
What are some of your favorite hobbies outside work?
Crafting things like making wreaths, chasing kids around and watching anything funny like Bob’s Burgers, The Office (Netflix please keep it!) and anything with a Parks and Rec kind of humor.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
I always hate this question because there are so many good things to eat! But probably pizza as long as I could change the toppings!
